Welding Inspection, NDT & Quality Systems for Construction and Structural Steel
We help steel fabricators, erectors, and contractors with AWS D1.1 weld inspection, welder qualification, and nondestructive testing — in the fabrication shop or on the job site.
Structural steel work is judged against AWS D1.1 and the project specifications. We help you qualify welders and procedures before work starts, inspect welds as they're made, and document the results for the project record.
How We Help
- CWI inspection of structural welds to AWS D1.1
- Welder qualification testing and WPS/PQR review, including prequalified WPS checks
- Visual inspection of fit-up, weld size, and profile
- Magnetic particle and ultrasonic testing of welds
- ISO 9001 quality systems for fabricators and contractors
Codes and Standards
AWS D1.1 governs most structural steel welding. We also work to the project specification and any other code your contract calls for.

Construction & Structural Steel: FAQ
Do you inspect welds on the job site?
Yes. We inspect in the fabrication shop and on the job site, before, during, and after welding.
Can you qualify our welders to AWS D1.1?
Yes. We witness the test welds, examine the coupons, and document results on Welder Performance Qualification Records. Where the code calls for bend tests, the coupons go to a qualified testing lab.
Which codes do you work to?
AWS D1.1 for structural steel, plus the project specification and any other code your contract requires.
