Choosing the Right Method
Each method answers a different question, and many jobs use two:
- UT: internal flaws and wall thickness, measured from one side of the part
- MT: surface and near-surface cracks in ferromagnetic steels
- PT: surface-breaking defects on non-porous materials, including aluminum and stainless steel
- ET: surface cracks, corrosion, conductivity, and coating thickness in conductive metals
- VT: the first check on every job, by eye or with borescopes
Qualified Personnel, Written Procedures
Our team holds NDT personnel certification under ASNT and NAS 410 programs. Every inspection follows a written procedure and the acceptance criteria in your governing code, standard, or customer specification, and takes place on-site at your facility or job site.

What is nondestructive testing (NDT)?
NDT is a set of inspection methods — such as ultrasonic, magnetic particle, penetrant, eddy current, and visual testing — that find flaws or measure properties without damaging the part, so it can stay in service.
Which NDT method do I need?
It depends on the material, the flaw you're looking for, and your governing specification. Surface cracks in steel usually call for MT; in aluminum or stainless steel, PT or ET; internal flaws and wall thickness, UT. Tell us the part and the specification, and we'll recommend the method.
Do you work to our customer's specifications?
Yes. Every inspection follows a written procedure and the acceptance criteria in the governing document — a code, a standard, or your customer's specification.
Do you perform NDT on-site?
Yes. All inspections take place at your facility or job site — in Miami, across South Florida, and anywhere else by request.
