Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

A volumetric inspection method that transmits high-frequency sound waves deep into a material. It is used to detect internal, subsurface flaws that cannot be seen from the outside, as well as to precisely measure material thickness.

Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)

Designed specifically for ferromagnetic materials. It induces a magnetic field into the component and uses iron particles to instantly reveal surface and slightly subsurface discontinuities, such as fatigue cracks or manufacturing flaws.

Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT)

A highly sensitive method used to detect surface-breaking defects in non-porous materials. A specialized dye (visible or fluorescent) is applied to the component, drawing itself into microscopic cracks and making them clearly visible under the right lighting.

Visual Testing (VT)

The foundation of non-destructive testing. It involves the careful examination of a component's surface — either with the naked eye or using optical tools like borescopes and magnifiers — to detect visible flaws, physical damage, or corrosion.
